NOTE:  Auditions are complete for the 2009-2010 season. Check back  in August of 2010 for vacancies.   

The Canton Symphony Orchestra announces the following vacancies beginning in the 2009-2010 season
 
SECTION AND SUBSTITUTE STRING OPENINGS (See below)
 
Auditions will be held in Canton and Cleveland. Refer to the following for dates and locations. Please call the CSO office at 330-452-3434(x608) beginning August 31, 2009 to schedule an audition. If you need any additional information, please contact Michael G. If you would like to audition for a substitute non-string position during the general auditions in Canton, please refer to the substitute position audition repertoire webpage.
 
 
The following are repertoire lists for section string openings. Please prepare a solo of your choice plus the excerpts from the appropriate category. Sight-reading is a possibility. Also, please bring your own music and excerpts to the audition - none of the excerpts will be available at the auditions.

Per service rate for the section string positions was $92.75 for the 2009-2010 season. Per service rate for Ensemble services was $92.75. The current Master Agreement is under negotiation. Some services require daytime availability.
 
All applicants are required by federal law to demonstrate eligibility to accept employment with the Canton Symphony Orchestra.
