If you would like to audition for a substitute non-string position during the general auditions in Canton, please refer to the substitute position audition repertoire webpage.

The following are repertoire lists for section string openings. Please prepare a solo of your choice plus the excerpts from the appropriate category. Sight-reading is a possibility. Also, please bring your own music and excerpts to the audition - none of the excerpts will be available at the auditions.

Per service rate for the section string positions was $92.75 for the 2009-2010 season. Per service rate for Ensemble services was $92.75. The current Master Agreement is under negotiation. Some services require daytime availability.

All applicants are required by federal law to demonstrate eligibility to accept employment with the Canton Symphony Orchestra.
