Tchaikovsky Divine Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom (selected sections)

I.  After the exclamation “Blessed is the Kingdom…”

Amen. Lord, have mercy. To Thee, O Lord. Amen.

II. After the First Antiphon

Lord, have mercy. To Thee, O Lord. Amen.

Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit,

Both now and ever, and unto ages of ages. Amen.

Only begotten Son, and Word of God,

Who art immortal,

And didst will for our salvation

To be incarnate of the Holy Theotokos and Ever-Virgin Mary,

Who without change didst become man,

And was crucified, O Christ God,

Trampling down death by death,

Who art one of the Holy Trinity,

Glorified with the Father and the Holy Spirit,

Save us.

III.  The Cherubic Hymn

Let us who mystically represent the Cherubim,

And who sing the thrice-holy hymn

To the life-creating Trinity,

Now lay aside all care of this life, (Amen),

That we may receive the King of All,

Who comes invisibly upborne by the angelic host.

Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia!

X.  After the exclamation “Thine own of Thine own…”

We hymn Thee, we bless Thee,

We give thanks to Thee, O Lord,

And we pray unto Thee, O our God.

XI.  After the words “Especially for our most holy…”

It is truly fitting to bless you, O Theotokos,

Ever-blessed and most pure and the Mother of our God.

More honorable than the Cherubim,

And more glorious beyond compare than the Seraphim:

Without defilement you gave birth to God the Word:

True Theotokos, we magnify you.

And all mankind.
