Hilerie Klein Rensi is delighted to debut with the Canton Symphony Orchestra. Praised as “…a mellifluous mezzo…an incisive way with words.” (Cleveland Plain Dealer), she has performed over 50 opera, operetta and oratorio works including Dorabella in Così fan Tutte, Tessa in The Gondoliers, Rosina in The Barber of Seville, Mozart’s Great Mass in C Minor, Stephano in Roméo et Juliette, Maddalena in Rigoleto, Mendelssohn’s Elijah, Cherubino in Le Nozze di Figaro, Florence Pike in Albert Herring, Hansel in Hansel & Gretel , Dido in Dido and Aeneas, Nicklausse in Les Contes D’Hoffman and The Mother in the world premiere of Brooke Joyce’s An Imaginary Line. She has performed with Spoleto Festival USA, Tri-Cities Opera, Basically Bach Ensemble, Opera Theater Summerfest, Natchez Festival of Music, Lake George Opera, Orchestra of the Southern Fingerlakes, Undercroft Opera, Hamilton College and Community Oratorio Society and Traverse Symphony Orchestra, among many others. As an award winning artist and alumna of Interlochen Center for the Arts, Hilerie was honored with the “Best Female Principle Over 25 Years of Gilbert and Sullivan Operettas” Award. She also performs recitals, musical theatre, children’s opera, four part a cappella music, new compositions, tours her cabaret Alto on the Loose and is the owner and founder of Higher Voice Studio, one of the largest private voice studios in the country. When not on the stage, Hilerie resides in Pittsburgh with her husband and three children, while teaching private voice lessons and inspiring new young artists to pursue their musical ambitions.
