These concerts will be a welcome reprieve from being away for so long. Leading up to the main-stage MasterWorks season, these concerts were designed to ease audiences back into the concert hall with smaller ensembles.

Canton Symphony Orchestra returns to Umstattd Hall. We begin with a new piece by Cleveland composer Margaret Brouwer. A soaring and melodic composition, The Art of Sailing at Dawn perfectly captivates our joy and anticipation for returning to the stage. Our Principal Flute, Jenny Robinson, will play Ibert’s Flute Concerto.
Upbeat and celebratory, we begin with Irish Dance Suite by up-and-coming composer Quinn Mason. Mason is in his early 20s and is already a widely revered talent in the Classical music community. Followed by Bloch’s Concerto Grosso No. 1, which was inspired by input from students at the Cleveland Institute of Music. Dvořák’s Serenade in E Major needs no explanation.
