Effective immediately, the CSO will no longer require vaccines or proof of negative Covid test to attend a performance. Masks are no longer required inside the building. People may choose to wear a mask at any time. People with Covid-like symptoms or a positive Covid test result should stay home.
This year has undoubtedly been challenging for us all. Being away from Umstattd Hall for so long has not been easy, but this fall, Canton Symphony Orchestra returns in full force and full capacity for live performances. We could not be more excited and relieved to be able to play live music for you once again. As we look forward to the future, we wanted to extend an invitation to renew your subscription to our MasterWorks series.
Subscribers like you are integral to the success of Canton Symphony. You are our most loyal patrons, attending almost every major concert we offer throughout the year. Without this patronage, we would not exist to share the joy of this historically rich and revered art form. Canton Symphony Orchestra has been around for almost 100 years, serving Stark County’s community by managing our resources responsibly, being accountable to our donors, audiences, employees, and volunteers, and performing orchestral music to the highest possible level of artistic integrity. By subscribing, you help continue this legacy for generations to come.
Subscriptions will be a little different this year. We offer 5 MasterWorks concerts featuring the full force of the orchestra, two “Prelude” performances featuring a slightly smaller ensemble, and two Pops concerts: Holiday Pops and Abbey Road. The Prelude and Pops concerts will be optional to add on.. We are no longer offering FLEX passes – if you have had this option in the past, your renewal form will show a 5-concert package in your same seat and price section. Please note, there is now an option to include an open bar pass for every concert.
On behalf of everyone at Canton Symphony, thank you for supporting this institution. With your help, we will come back stronger than ever before.
Michelle Charles, President & CEO
Subscribers are now able to renew at any time. Simply call our box office at 330-452-2094, or return the Subscription Renewal Form that was sent to you in the mail. This form was JUST sent out on July 1st, so do not panic if you have yet to receive it. You can call in at any time to renew without the form. A member of our staff would be happy to handle it for you.
You have until August 31st to guarantee your same seats.
New this year is an online dashboard for patrons to view their tickets, past donations, and upcoming events. This feature will become available at the end of the renewal period.
The “Prelude” concerts are relatively smaller ensembles to reintroduce audiences back into our halls. They are not included in the base subscription package, but can be added-on at a discounted rate. Call our box office at 330-452-2094 to reserve seats to these concerts.
These concerts will lead up to our mainstage MasterWorks season.
Our MasterWorks Series is the main focus of Canton Symphony Orchestra’s operations. These concerts dive deep into the rich and vibrant history of classical music. This year, we are focusing on living composers that have previously been ignored, underappreciated, or undiscovered while still acknowledging the classics we all know and love.
All five of these concerts are included in the base subscription package.
Every year, Canton Symphony Orchestra strives to reach new audiences. Orchestral music is an art form that is enjoyed by too few, often dismissed due to it not being front and center in our everyday lives.
Returning this year is the ever-popular, Jeans ‘N Classics, who last rocked the house in 2020 with The Music of Queen. This time, they will take you deep into the London music scene to explore the music of The Beatles.
Single tickets go on sale September 1st. Patrons can purchase now by adding-on to their existing MasterWorks subscriptions by calling 330-452-2094.
