Two of Gerhardt Zimmermann's greatest romantic favorites fill this concert: Sibelius and Brahms. Almost reminiscent of Beethoven, Sibelius' third symphony is among his most beloved. Pianist Norman Krieger joins Maestro Zimmermann for Brahms' monumental Piano Concerto No. 1, a true romantic symphony for the piano and orchestra together.
