If you could visit any location in the world, where would it be?
I’d love to visit Alaska. Wouldn’t want to live there because of the cold, but the landscape would be worth seeing.
What is the title of the last book you read?
Shop Class as Soulcraft by Matthew Crawford
What do you like most about working for the Symphony?
I really enjoy working with so many great players. It’s so encouraging to be sitting on stage with colleagues who continue to amaze me.
If you could change one thing in the world, what would it be?
I wish there were more full-time symphony orchestras in the world.
Taylor grew up in Charlotte, NC. Taylor went to the Peabody Conservatory and majored in Double Bass Performance and currently serves as principal bass of the Youngstown Symphony and works part-time in the bike shop at REI.
