This series of instrument trio performances introduces students (ages 3-6) to the world of the orchestra in a fun, interactive, and musical way. Each trio performance is programmed around a children’s story book and features a different instrument family (strings, woodwinds, and brass) performing a variety of orchestral repertoire.

Conducted by Guest Conductor Jeri Lynne Johnson, this program explores how environment shapes musical expression. Featuring Sibelius’s evocative Karelia Overture, the Ohio co-commission premiere of Meilina Tsui’s Floridian Symphony, and Strauss’s sweeping An Alpine Symphony—presented with community-inspired photochoreography—the concert offers a powerful journey through landscape, identity, and place.
