School Programs
The Canton Symphony Orchestra offers trios, quartets or quintets for visits to schools - a very cost effective way to give your students live musical experiences. Participating musicians have been trained in presenting educational material for children. These ensemble performances offer in-depth exploration of the instruments of the orchestra, musical components and interaction with the musicians. All programs incorporate Ohio’s Academic Content Standards not only in music, but math, social studies, language arts, and science as well. Various themes, grade levels and instrument combinations are available.

Oboe Trio - Fractions in Music
This program demonstrates some of the many ways musicians use
math whenever they perform. Students will see and hear how music
changes as they multiply and divide the notes. See and hear the oboe
and English Horn. For grades 3 and 4.
